Verification of Kenya Drivers License
AUTHENTICATION/VERIFICATION OF KENYA DRIVER’S LICENSE
The earlier you get your G license the better for you as a new immigrant even though you may not be getting a car soon. The older the license the cheaper your insurance when you start driving.
Requirements
1. Current valid original Kenyan driver’s license, and one photocopy. Renewals can be done online through http://www.ecitizen.go.ke if your license has expired.
2. Formal letter of request.
3. Copies of passport, ID card, Alien certificate or Refugee ID card.
4. Processing fee; C$20.00 (non-refundable) payable to “Kenya High Commission” by either Money Order, Bank Draft or Certified Cheque. No refunds will be made for applications mailed to this office with amounts over and above the indicated amount.
5. Enclose a Pre-paid self-addressed return Xpresspost courier envelope from Canada Post (with a tracking number). Other courier services should have a “computer-generated label” (waybill).
6. Please submit a complete application, failure to do so will result in the return of your application.
7. Please submit the above requirements by courier to the following address:-

NOTE:
For holders of the new generation Driver’s License (wallet size) please attach evidence of previous driving experience beyond what is shown on the license eg. Renewal slips or copy of the old Driver’s License.
Walk-ins clients to the Mission may pay using Debit Card/ Credit Card available at the Reception desk.
For Kenyans in Ontario
1. You can purchase a money order from any bank near you, I think it will cost you $9 on top of the $20
2. You can reach out to me i give you a sample of the request letter
3. You can get the envelops needed from any Canada Post establishments. Most of them you find them in Shoppers Drug Matt
4. I advice you get a tracking number when sending as your original driver's license is there and you don't want to go through the trouble of replacing it if you lost the mail on transit.
The letter usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks to get back

official letter from the Kenya High Commission in Canada, which is a recognized
board of the Kenyan Government Ministry of Transport, confirming that the
